Pakkavada, also known as Kokkuvada or Ribbon Pakoda, is a familiar Kerala tea-time snack. Gram and rice flours, mild chilli and fried curry leaves give these ribbons their flavour and crunch.

Made in small batches and fried in 100% coconut oil, they make a savoury addition to a bowl of Kerala Mixture or a cup of chaya.
