It all started far from home, while we were living in North India. Like anyone who appreciates authentic, regional flavors, we found ourselves constantly searching for one simple, essential ingredient: reliable, locally-made, pure Kerala coconut oil.
What we found instead were supermarket shelves lined with mass-produced oils—heavily processed and often full of sulfur. We missed the real thing. We missed the unadulterated purity, the rich aroma, and the unmatched quality of oil pressed right at the source.
Realizing we couldn’t be the only ones longing for this standard of quality, we decided to solve the problem ourselves. That search led to our very first offering: 100% pure Kerala coconut oil.
From that single, uncompromising product, Purico grew. As people experienced the difference that genuine purity makes, we expanded our offerings to include other beloved local specialties.
